Spring Events

Spring has officially sprung in Richmond, and with it comes a vibrant lineup of Easter egg hunts, outdoor adventures, and seasonal celebrations perfect for the whole family. Whether you're hunting for eggs, snapping a selfie with the Easter Bunny, or strolling through gardens in full bloom, Richmond is bursting with springtime cheer. Join our real estate agents in celebrating what the area has to offer with these exciting seasonal activities and events near Richmond homes for sale.

  • Dominion Energy Family Easter - Maymont Carriage House Lawn, 1700 Hampton St., Richmond, VA 23220
There's so much to do at Dominion Energy Family Easter that Maymont's six-acre Carriage House Lawn can barely contain the activities. Three stages of live entertainment, including a Dance Zone, provide a backdrop for crafts and games, adorable baby farm animals, and photo ops with the Easter Bunny. Food trucks will be on hand, along with a Community Zone spotlighting local heroes and helpers. Mark your calendar for Saturday, 4/19, from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. Admission is $5 per person, which includes three activity tickets, and reservations are strongly recommended.

  • Easter on Parade - Monument Ave., Richmond, VA 23220
Thanks to the generosity of a new sponsor, RVA's annual tradition of Easter on Parade is returning for 2025. Each year, upwards of 25,000 people gather along Monument Avenue to watch the colorful procession of marchers, including pets dressed in their holiday finery. In addition, activities such as arts and crafts, food stands, and live music are part of the family-friendly event. Easter on Parade runs from 1 p.m. - 5 p.m. on Sunday, 4/20, and admission is free.

  • Million Blooms Brunch - Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden, 1800 Lakeside Ave., Richmond, VA 23228
What's an Easter celebration without plenty of colorful spring flowers? Million Blooms Brunch is almost a literal description of Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden during springtime. Start with a delicious buffet of carved ham, frittatas, and other brunch favorites. (Be sure to make at least one trip to the Belgian waffle & biscuit station.) Afterward, take a leisurely stroll around the grounds and explore the new Homes & Habitats interactive art exhibition. Brunch is served from 10 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, 4/20. All tickets, $42 for adults and $26 for ages 3-12, include Garden admission.

  • EggXtreme Egg Hunt - Hidden Rock Park, 1920 Hidden Rock Ln., Goochland, VA 23102
The spacious green fields of Hidden Rock Park, right down the street from Goochland homes for sale, make a perfect setting for their first EggXtreme Egg Hunt. Three separate egg hunts, each one designed for a specific age group, will be held. Rumor has it that the Easter Bunny will swing by for a special guest appearance. Bring Fido along for a pre- or post-hunt romp in the onsite dog park. Festivities commence at 10 a.m. on Saturday, 4/19, and admission is free.

  • Pearl's Egg-cellent Adventure - Meadow Farm Museum at Crump Park, 3400 Mountain Rd., Glen Allen, VA 23060
Eggs are disappearing near Glen Allen homes for sale. Can Easter be saved? Come along on Pearl's Egg-cellent Adventure and help noted investigator, Edgar Bunny, solve the case. The adventure takes place from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, 4/20, and admission is free.
