  • Scott Memorial Park - 6680 Courthouse Rd., Prince George, VA 23875
    If your kids want to bend it like Beckham, head to Scott Memorial Park for some first-rate soccer facilities. The park's five soccer fields feature Bermuda grass, which is a resilient surface that holds up well under lots of running feet from the leagues and tournaments held there. Two baseball/softball fields include dugouts, bleachers, and a concession stand. Check out the brand-new 18-hole disc golf course that opened this past summer. Tree Time is an onsite adventure park with obstacle courses, zip lines, and nature trails. Toddlers have their own playground, and there are picnic facilities for the whole family. Hours are dawn to dusk daily.

  • Temple Recreation Park - 14307 Prince George Dr., Disputanta, VA 23842
    Have you joined the pickleball craze yet? That's just one of the activities available at Temple Recreation Park, along with traditional tennis. The lighted baseball/softball field has grassy areas to accommodate lawn chairs, while the basketball court has six hoops for multiple games. Whether you prefer walking, jogging, or running, follow the beautiful nature trail at your own pace. The park is open seven days a week from dawn to dusk.

  • JEJ Moore Athletic Complex - 11455 Prince George Dr., Disputanta, VA 23842
    At a sprawling 52 acres, JEJ Moore Athletic Complex is the largest of the parks and rec facilities near Prince George homes for sale. Team sports are the name of the game here, with four baseball/softball fields and one multi-use field for soccer, football, and field hockey. The baseball/softball fields have dugouts, batting cages, and electronic scoreboards, as well as bleachers and grassy areas where you can watch your favorite team. Take a break for a snack and beverage from the convenient concession stand. The complex is open for use from dawn until dusk daily.

  • Prince George Community Center - 11100 Old Stage Rd., Prince George, VA 23875 
    Pump some iron or get your heart rate pumping at Prince George Community Center. The cardio room holds ellipticals, treadmills, and stationary bikes, while the weight room has machines and free weights. Both rooms are open to county residents ages 15 and up, while teens between 13-15 are allowed in the company of an adult. Hours are 7 a.m. - 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 7 a.m.- 7 p.m. Friday. The $5 monthly fee or $50 annual fee includes admission to the gym at Prince George Central Wellness Center, located at 11023 Prince George Dr. in Disputanta. Wellness center hours are 7 a.m. - 10 a.m. Monday through Friday, 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. Friday. 

  • Appomattox River Regional Park - 800 Folar Trail N., Hopewell, VA 23860
    Enjoy the natural splendor around Hopewell homes for sale at Appomattox River Regional Park, the latest addition to the Prince George Parks and Recreation system. The 65-acre wooded grounds include more than three miles of hiking trails that are also great for birdwatching. Add some variety to your hike at the 10-station fitness trail or head out on the river at the canoe/kayak launch. Park hours are 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. daily.
